Position Summary

Under the leadership of both the Intensive Care director and the Assistant director, the Senior Administrative Assistant is responsible for supporting the leadership team and staff members within the respective department. The senior administrative assistant is responsible for the completion of daily clerical operations within the department.

Administrative duties include performing administrative and office support activities like maintaining the director’s calendar, drafting professional correspondence while maintaining a high level of confidentiality, maintaining, and updating department policies and procedures, scheduling and coordinating conference rooms for meetings, maintaining phone and email distribution list, ordering of office supplies. Important dimensions of this position consist of quality work, professional commitment, teamwork, interpersonal skills, safety, reliability, excellent communication skills and a broad clerical knowledge.

Experience 

  • Two years of secretarial or administrative assistant experience required.
  • Excellent time management skills and ability to multitask and prioritize work.
  • Attention to detail, accuracy, confidentiality and follow through.
  • Create and maintain filing systems, both electronic and physical.
  • Proficiency in MS Word, Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint.
  • Schedule and coordinate meetings and maintain calendars.
  • Excellent time management skills and ability to multitask and prioritize work.
  • Excellent communication/ interpersonal skills, both verbal and written.
  • Knowledge of PC systems and word processing systems required. 
  • Working knowledge of office equipment, such as computers and printers.
  • Experience with Medical Terminology   

Education

High school diploma, G.E.D., or equivalent work experience in a related field.  Some college or business courses preferred.

Pay Range (based on years of applicable experience):

$32.49

to

$43.44

The hours employees work determine when a shift differential is paid.

Hourly Evening Shift Differential: $2.44

Hourly Night Shift Differential: $3.65
