Job Description:

The Ohana Therapist reports to a Clinical Program Manager and is responsible for providing psychosocial assessments, individual, family, and group therapy to adolescents and their families. In addition, the Licensed  Therapist in Residential Program collaboratively develops treatment planning and tracks progress towards treatment targets, participates in multidisciplinary rounds, actively collaborates with other members of the multidisciplinary team around patient’s progress and ongoing discharge planning to ensure comprehensive approach to adolescent’s care.  Additionally, this position requires ability to handle urgent issues or crises that may arise with adolescents, such as behavioral outbursts and emotional distress. Additionally, Licensed Therapist provides mental health education to patients and, as appropriate, to the community and other professionals. The

Licensed Therapist is required to keep the detailed and timely records of assessments, treatment plans, session and group notes, and progress reports, as well as adhere to all the professional standards, ethical guidelines, and state and federal regulations related to mental health of adolescents and families.

Must have strong interpersonal skills, flexibility, and curiosity as well as comfort prioritizing safety and quality of care.

Experience

Must have a minimum of 2 years’ experience providing therapy to children, adolescents, or families.

Training in either Cognitive Behavioral Therapy or Dialectical Behavioral Therapy is preferred, but not required. The therapist will be expected to participate in training in EBT (evidence-based therapies); education and supervision activities connected to identified areas of clinician interest and programmatic needs of Ohana.

Education

Master’s degree in Clinical Social Work, Counseling, Clinical Psychology or Master’s Degree in Marriage and Family Therapy is required.

Licenses/Certifications

LCSW or LMFT is required. American Heart Association Healthcare Provider BLS certification required. MOAB certification must be obtained within the first 6 months of hire. Will complete mandatory 5150 training by Monterey County to obtain 5150 certification and obtain 5150 Professional staff authorization yearly.

Live Scan fingerprint clearance required by the Department of Healthcare Services is a job requirement.

Assigned Work Hours:

Full-Time, 5 shifts per week. Weekends and holidays included.

Pay Range (based on years of applicable experience):

$51.15

to

$68.38

The hours employees work determine when a shift differential is paid.

Hourly Evening Shift Differential: $4.03

Hourly Night Shift Differential: $6.05
