Job Description:
Under the leadership of the department director and their assigned supervisor, the food service worker II has a variety of duties. Duties may include but are not limited to: dishwashing, pot washing, environmental cleaning, sanitation and waste disposal, bussing of tables, delivery and retrieval of patient trays and/or carts, delivery of food and non-food supplies, stocking of food and non-food supplies, basic food/beverage production, and assembling meal trays. Food service worker II may also be responsible for taking food/beverage orders, operating the point of sale (POS) system, completing financial transactions, reconciling cash drawers and resolving customer complaints.
Experience
Fluency, the ability to communicate orally, and the ability to read and write in English is required. Passing a basic reading and math test is required. Working quickly and accurately is required. Excellent customer service skills are required. Basic food/beverage production skills are required.
Education
High school diploma, GED, or equivalent education or experience in related field required.
Licensure/Certifications
California Food Handler’s card at the time of hire or within three (3) months of employment.

Assigned Work Hours:
Per diem, varied days and shifts as needed. No set guaranteed hours in a two week pay period. This is not a full or part time position.
