The administrative assistant for the wound program reports to the Assistant Director, Wound Program. The administrative assistant performs duties related to the daily operational functions of the program including such activities as: fielding telephone calls, scheduling activities and meetings, managing and organizing program procedures and safety manuals, preparing and submitting supply orders, coding and processing invoices, reconciling department expenses, collecting and collating prevalence study and product trials audit data, relieving assistant director and director of administrative tasks, and maintaining various databases. The administrative assistant interacts with many management team members, medical staff, and peers in a positive, service-oriented manner. Strong software skills are required, as well as internet research abilities and strong communication skills.
High school diploma or equivalent required. At least 2-years clerical experience in a fast paced healthcare setting (scheduling, answering phones, computer use, and filing). Excellent communication and customer service skills. Ability to maintain a positive professional demeanor in a demanding environment. Ability to quickly comprehend new techniques and concepts and adapt readily to change. Knowledge of hospital policies and procedures preferred.
Intermediate or advanced computer skills, including Microsoft Word, Outlook and Excel. Knowledge of medical terminology preferred.

0.5 M-F (8 - 4:30)
