Position Summary

Under the leadership of the department director and assistant director the Senior Administrative Assistant/Activities Coordinator provides support for administrative duties when the Administrative Specialist is not available/on vacation (maintaining the director’s outlook calendar, arranging meetings as directed, preparing quarterly meeting packets, and drafting professional correspondence while maintaining a high level of confidentiality.) Additionally, this position is responsible developing and carrying out the Activity function at Westland House and follows/meets the Title 22 Regulations; timely assessments and documentation of socialization and activity needs of patients; implement events/activities for patients; collaborating with patients/team members of activities; planning weekly/monthly activities; organize on sit activities and events; safe and fun environment for all participants; create a stimulating and varied program of leisure activities and social events for all residents to enjoy; implement activities on an individual/group social care plan and evaluate regularly; and daily/weekly/weekend activities

Experience 

Must have two years’ experience in a social or recreational program within the past 5 years, one of which was in a activities program in a skilled setting. Intermediate level proficiency in MS Word and Excel. Knowledge of professional business correspondence and the ability to proofread for grammar, spelling and punctuation with a high degree of accuracy is required. Must have demonstrated organizational skills with the ability to organize and handle competing priorities. 

Education  

High school diploma, G.E.D., or equivalent work experience in related field.  Some college is preferred.

Licensure/Certifications

Activity Coordinator Certification, high school diploma, G.E.D., or equivalent work experience in related field.  Some college is preferred.

Weekend coverage day shift 0800-1630

Pay Range (based on years of applicable experience):

$36.27

to

$48.50
