Social Worker - Crisis Stabilization Unit

Under the leadership of the department director of Behavioral Health Services and the assistant director, the social worker is responsible for completing psychosocial assessments and participating in ongoing treatment planning for patients on the acute psychiatric inpatient unit. The social worker is a member of the multi-disciplinary treatment team responsible for planning and implementing a program of group and individual treatment modalities including discharge.
Must demonstrate critical thinking, problem solving, decision-making ability and ability to work both independently and as part of a multi-disciplinary team.
Experience in an acute care hospital or inpatient psychiatric unit and knowledge of community resources are preferred.
Master degree in social work required.
Must pass orientation and initial competency assessment prior to independent assignment of patients requiring the applicable skill, and must complete and pass all annual competencies.
Current license to practice in the State of California (LCSW) or MSW actively obtaining hours towards LCSW preferred. CHOMP provided de-escalation training must be completed within 6 months of hire.

7:00a.m.-7:30p.m. DAY 12 hour shifts
72 hours in a 2 week pay period
