Position  Summary:   

The Rehabilitation Aide assists in patient related activities and treatment under the direct supervision of a physical, occupational, or speech therapist and performs routine duties related to the operation of the Department.  The rehabilitation aides provide services within the limits of the law and may not carry out any procedure that they are not qualified or trained to provide.

Education/Experience/Licensure:

Requirements

High School graduate or equivalent. Employee will complete an on-the-job orientation period and competency evaluation.

American Heart Association Healthcare Provider BLS certification.

Ability to understand and follow directions given by the supervising therapist and Rehab Leadership team.

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. 

Ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment, and to multi-task and/or prioritize competing requests on an ongoing basis.

Preferences

Previous experience with patient care, preferably in a rehabilitation setting. 

Proficiency in computer skills, especially Microsoft Word and Excel.
