Job Description:
The manager for Radiology services reports to the director of Radiology Services. The manager is responsible for the daily operations, scheduling, clinical protocols, assisting with the annual budget, productivity, and technical procedures for assigned functions. This individual is responsible for ensuring adequate staffing and consistent orientation for new staffing and training of all staff in assigned areas. Represents the department and assigned areas on interdisciplinary terms and committees. Leads assigned staff and physicians the development of clinical protocols and procedures. Manage and ensures the effective functioning of computer systems which support assigned functions. He/ she is responsible for managing and ensuring that performance improvement activities and educational programs are consistent with hospital expectations and relevant to the clinical and support staff of assigned areas. Good communication and interpersonal skills are a must since the position requires interaction with professional and non-professional specialties on a wide variety of issues.
Experience
A minimum of five (5) years clinical and supervisory experience in an acute care hospital is required.
Education
Graduate of an approved program for Radiologic Technologist, Nuclear Medicine, MRI, CT, and Ultrasound.
Licensure/Certifications
Must be current with the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) and American Heart Association Healthcare Provider BLS.
