Job Description:
Purpose of Position
The Project Manager reports to and assists the Chief Operating Officer (COO) of the Health plan division to improve services, care and increase value to health plan members. When new systems, programs and capabilities are desired, the Project Manager serves as the leader in developing the culture and competencies that empower team members as problem solvers and coaches, working in alignment toward shared goals. Manager oversees the portfolio of cross-system collaborative projects and programs designed to improve the performance of Aspire Health in managing risk contracts. Manager engages with and supports multi-dimensional teams responsible for a range of initiatives, taking ownership of all performance improvement committees and workgroups, leading the planning and implementation of projects, and keeping teams on track to reach shared goals.
Responsibilities
- Lead for Measurable Performance Improvement: Lead the development and transformation of performance improvement projects and activities:
- Partner with Executive Sponsors to set goals, advise on improvement methods and courses of action;
- Coach leaders as they deploy new standard work to their teams to achieve and sustain improvements;
- Staff all work groups and committees, teaming with leaders to document, develop plans and aggregate action items into one overall program;
- Lead the planning and implementation of projects derived from performance improvement strategy.
- Apply Sound Scientific Method: Quantify current state challenges by conducting primary source data collection and mining system data to establish baselines for improvement. Analyze data to propose improvement targets. Monitor performance over time to determine the efficacy of improvement interventions.
- Advocate for the Member’s (Patient’s) Perspective: Advocate continually for value from the member’s perspective in improvement work, incorporating member-experience feedback and measurement into the definition of successful change.
- Realize the Plan: Serve as Project Manager when needed to convene cross-functional groups across the system of care to accomplish a task or achieve an outcome:
- Practice exceptional group facilitation, expectation setting, accountability, issue resolution, and deliverable creation;
- Establish and maintain credible and effective working relationships with key stakeholders including internal and external contacts, board members, executives, management team members and physicians;
- Accomplish strategic objectives by overseeing multiple project activities and tracking assignments;
- Prioritize, coordinate and oversee complex tasks in an efficient manner including management of project timelines;
- Regularly review and report on progress of assignments to evaluate completeness and work with teams to close gaps and reach goals;
- Work collaboratively with team members to identify and respond to team member needs.
- Model Improvement Culture: Support a culture where everyone is responsible for improvement and all have a healthy dissatisfaction with the status quo.
- Maintain strictest confidentiality in the areas of patient, employee and physician relations.
- Assist leaders in managing department budget, including monthly reporting of performance against budget preparation and submission of expense reports as needed.
- Other duties and special projects as assigned.
Requirements:
Baccalaureate degree. 3+ years of experience in roles of increasing responsibility with demonstrated performance in project management. Proven facilitation skills and ability to energize others to productive action. Demonstrated success in leading and sustaining improvement. Demonstrated experience in taking initiative in design, management and reporting on projects and programs. Must be able to work both independently, and collaboratively with others to achieve completion of common goals. Must excel high pressure situations. Demonstrated mastery of the MSOffice Suite products in order to: collect and analyze data; produce reports and select; use and train team members on program and project management software. Organizational skills with the ability to organize and handle competing priorities Strong communications and management skills to support effective work with team members at multiple levels of seniority to focus efforts and drive for results. Pro-active problem-solving skills. Ability to multi-task and manage multiple projects at once. Willing to work adjusted hours when necessary for special events or presentations. Flexible and positive attitude. Works well independently and collaboratively. Takes initiative to identify project improvements.

Salary: $95,000-115,000 annually - based on experience
