Plant Engineer

Job Description:

Under department leadership, the plant engineer performs scheduled or nonscheduled maintenance and repairs on hospital equipment.

Experience

Three to four years’ experience in plant operations and maintenance preferred. Must possess knowledge and technical skills required for the repair and maintenance of plumbing, HVAC, and electrical systems, fixtures, devices, and applications. Must possess the technical knowledge and skill to perform minor carpentry work and repairs.

Education

High school diploma, G.E.D., or equivalent work experience in related field. Vocational or trade school training in applicable field preferred.

Licensure/Certifications

Must possess a valid California driver’s license.

This position requires driving. In addition to a valid CA driver’s license, the following are required: Automobile insurance as required by the State of California with an acceptable driving record of three points or less, participation in the DMV pull-notice program, and an automobile available for daily work.
