Job Description:

Short-term Temporary - Up to 6 months

Under the leadership of the department director, assistant director, and/or charge nurse, the nursing assistant will take vital signs and assist with activities of daily living and comfort measures for an assigned group of patients. Recognizes the importance of meeting customer expectations, and demonstrates a positive attitude and efficient use of resources, and performs related duties as necessary to fulfill the customer's needs. Performs duties according to the policy and procedures of CHOMP and the department under the direct supervision of an RN. The Nursing Assistant/Unit Support Tech is responsible for maintaining supplies & equipment.

Experience:

One year (in the last 2 years) of experience in acute hospital or long term care setting (preferred)

Education:

High school diploma/GED or equivalent work experience

Licensure/Certification:

American Heart Association Healthcare Provider BLS certification is required.
