Job Description:
Under the leadership of the department director and assistant director the Nuclear Medicine Technologist is responsible for delivering quality patient care to all patient populations in the Diagnostic Center and it’s satellite facilities during hours on duty. The Nuclear Medicine Technologist possesses skills and knowledge to competently provide diagnostic quality images with proper documentation of radiology record requirements and radiation safety, maximizing the use of equipment and resources. This individual interacts in a positive, service-oriented manner with patients, medical staff, and peers, and performs all Nuclear Medicine procedures and all RIS and HIS procedures in the area of assignment.
Experience
Acute care hospital nuclear medicine experience within the past three years is preferred.
Education
As necessary for required licensure.
Licensure/Certifications
The Nuclear Medicine Technologist must have current licensure with the State of California (CNMT). All technologists must also be current with the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) (N) or certification by the Nuclear Medicine Technology Certification Board (NMTCB). American Heart Association Healthcare Provider BLS certification is required.
