Position Summary:

Community Hospital of the Monterey Peninsula is seeking a Lean Transformation Specialist to join the Lean Transformation team.  This role will report to the Director of Lean Transformation and will be integral in our pursuit of Lean. 


Duties to include:

·         Assist in the implementing and managing the hospital (and sponsored services) Lean process improvement program, including deployment of training and other duties that enhance organizational efficiency and support the culture of continuous improvement and customer satisfaction. 

·         In assigned operational areas, leads collaborative decision making to define tactics and methods to foster employee engagement, successful change management and acceptance. 

·         In assigned areas, facilitates workshops or forums to focus improvement, transfer knowledge and engage team members and leaders in activities supporting continuous improvement. 



·         Minimum of three years experience within CHOMP, Montage Health, or leading Lean initiatives in a healthcare environment preferred 

·         Demonstrated success in leading and sustaining improvement. 

·         Proven facilitation skills and ability to energize others to productive action.

·         Must be able to work closely with others to collaborate on completion of common goals.

·         Willing and able to train others to advance the Lean culture in a fast-paced and evolving organization.

·          Must excel high pressure situations.

·         Healthy dissatisfaction with the status quo.

·         Demonstrated mastery of the MSOffice Suite products. 



·         Bachelors' degree healthcare field, business, industrial engineering, or other is required.


 Licensure/Certifications: Completion of Lean certification within 2 years
