Job Description:
Under the leadership of the Supply Chain Program Manager and Warehouse Supervisor, the KanBan Specialist (BlueBelt) is responsible for maintaining all aspects of the BlueBin program through the Daily Management System (DMS). The KanBan Specialist (BlueBelt) delivers operational oversight and execution of the BlueBin program while utilizing Lawson to minimize cost and support a value driven supply system. The KanBan Specialist (BlueBelt) will coordinate with internal resources and third parties/vendors for the flawless execution of projects; ensuring all projects are completed on time and within budget. The KanBan Specialist (BlueBelt) helps maintain a detailed project plan to monitor future Supply Chain product needs. The KanBan Specialist (BlueBelt) understands and practices business analytics and complies with business performance metrics. The KanBan Specialist (BlueBelt) is a resource to Supply Chain Services with regard to BlueBin processes and for any issues or concerns that may arise. This includes, but not limited to, ability to receive, store, issue supplies and equipment, and take inventory using the Supply Chain management system. Delivering supplies to the various hospital departments and offsite facilities using appropriate delivery vehicles and equipment. Assists with pick-up and delivery of records and supplies. May be called upon to serve as Westland House support staff once trained. Must be willing and able to assist with maintenance and upkeep of warehouse vehicles and equipment. Assign location and container labels, operate bar code scanner, retrieve, store and purge records in accordance with departmental and hospital policies & procedures, goals, and daily activities. Maintains the record retention program inventory with the assistance of the Warehouse Supervisor. Certification as a Designated Representative (Exemptee) from the California State Board of Pharmacy is required for on-call eligibility.
Experience
Three to seven years of experience in healthcare materials supply chain to correspond with education as listed below; current experience strongly preferred. Must have strong computer skills and the ability to learn new systems and processes in a timely manner. Demonstrated experience with successful implementation of policies and procedures, multitasking, teamwork, negotiation strategies and techniques, and organizational skills to manage and react quickly to changing priorities.
Education
Bachelor’s degree or higher plus (3) three years of associated healthcare resource and materials management experience preferred; or
Associate degree or equivalent plus (5) five years of associated healthcare resource and materials management experience preferred; or
High school diploma, G.E.D., or equivalent work experience of (7) seven years of associated healthcare resource and materials management experience in a healthcare facility preferred.
Licensure/Certifications
Certified through BlueBin program as a BlueBelt or become certified within one year of employment.
