Under the leadership of the department director and assistant director and under the direction and supervision of the physician, Nurse Practitioner, or Physician’s Assistant, the Employee Health Tech is responsible for assisting in the treatment of patients by performing the following duties: performs basic administrative, clerical, and technical supportive services for a licensed physician, Nurse Practitioner, or Physician’s Assistant. In addition, this position may be assigned to office duties including data entry/retrieval, maintenance of the employee health record, reception/scheduling, organization of employee health events, and clerical support.
Previous experience with employee health, occupational medicine, and/or urgent care is preferred. Ability to speak effectively with customers, patients, or employees of organization. Must maintain strict patient confidentiality, adhering to all privacy guidelines and regulations. Familiar with a PC and basic software, such as Microsoft Windows, Microsoft Word, etc. Must be able to accurately and effectively enter and retrieve patient data from electronic systems.
Must have completed a Medical Assistant certification program or comparable level of training (e.g. LVN).
American Heart Association Healthcare Provider BLS certification is required. Certified Clinical Medical Assistant (CCMA) preferred.
