Job Description:

Under the leadership of the Director of Operations, the Assistant Director for Clinical Analytics and Performance is responsible and accountable for the development of the health information technology systems needed to support the development and quality improvement of Ohana’s clinical services and operations, including diagnostic, treatment and prevention programming. They will play a critical role in the design and implementation of the population health applications and measurement-based care that will guide program development and treatment planning. This individual will use their sophisticated analytical skills to provide recommendations on how to optimize data collection via the electronic health record in alignment with Ohana and the Community Hospital’s strategic goals. The right candidate will be proactive in identifying critical technical and operational issues and manage said issues to closure. They will also have strong interpersonal skills, flexibility, curiosity, humor and humility.

Experience

Three years or more of experience in a healthcare-related or business administration field; understanding of outpatient care, behavioral health care, pediatric care, and/or population health preferred.

Two or more years of experience with SQL or other data manipulation languages, relational databases, and Tableau or other business intelligence tools. Experience with Epic Caboodle and Clarity is desirable.

Experience with developing ETL processes, back-end programming, data quality and data management processes, and report automation.

Project management experience preferred.

Experience in budgeting, coding, business case development, and cost-benefit analyses

Experience in designing and maintaining performance measurement systems (i.e. metric design, metric display, charter development, change concept identification and deployment, and on-going monitoring).

Strong interpersonal skills and ability to communicate across all levels of the organization.

Works well independently and collaboratively; is a self-motivator and teams-oriented.

Highly proficient in Microsoft Office applications, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Visio.

Education

Bachelor’s degree required, master’s degree preferred.
